BP Oil Disaster Series

BP Oil / Deepwater Horizon Disaster Series

The BP Oil/Deepwater Horizon disaster had a profound impact on me, and I was determined to channel my emotions into a creative outlet. Being a ceramic artist, I saw an opportunity to use my craft to express the tragedy’s essence in a compelling way. The oil spill’s detrimental effects on the environment, economy, and human lives motivated me to create a sequence of sculptures that could capture the enormity of the incident.

My art is a tribute to the disaster’s victims and serves as a reminder of our planet’s fragility. By conveying the magnitude of this catastrophe through my work, I aspire to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection and the severe consequences of neglecting our responsibilities.
